How to Write a Tech Pack for Leather Goods
A clear tech pack removes whole rounds from sampling. Here is what a factory needs from you.

A tech pack is the single document that tells a factory exactly what to make. The clearer it is, the fewer samples you pay for.
What to include
Technical drawings with dimensions and tolerances.
Bill of materials: leather, lining, hardware, thread, filler.
Colours: Pantone references or physical swatches.
Construction: stitch length, thread, reinforcement points, edge finish.
Hardware: buckle or zip type, material and finish.
Branding: logo placement and method, such as emboss, foil or metal plate.
Packaging and labels.
Quantity and target price.
A useful shortcut
Add photos of reference samples you like, with notes on what to copy and what to change. Pictures remove ambiguity faster than paragraphs.
